Staff Training and Certification

Staff training and certification are critical activities for medical personnel. In recent years, video has grown to become an important element of these activities. Hospitals, physicians, and nurses have generated a significant amount of training videos that detail different elements and procedures of the work being done. The range is broad: how to prep an operating room prior to surgery, how to effectively disinfect areas and equipment, how to perform and standardize surgical procedures, and so on. This is a nascent area, where implementation is limited by the need to protect the privacy of the staff and patients in the training video. Using videos to support training provides significant benefits to hospitals and doctors and translates directly to increased staff productivity, better quality of service, better patient care, and lower overall costs. More recently, certification boards are also experimenting with video as a part of the certification process.

redactX is an enabler in achieving these benefits. By applying auto-redaction to training videos, the privacy of hospital personnel and patients can be protected at a minimal cost. Faces, nametags, monitor readouts and things written on whiteboards, can all be redacted easily and conveniently. De-identification removes obstacles to a broader use of video recordings in the healthcare industry. redactX sets new standard for high performance and low costs.

Compliance
Verification

Cameras in the operating room can provide a multitude of data that can be used to demonstrate compliance to procedures and regulations as well as identify inefficiencies that can be addressed to reduce costs. The data generated by redactX can not only be used to support anonymization but also used to detect and count things of interest. The software can be connected to live video sources, so the progress of what is happening in the operating room can be analyzed while at the same time protecting the privacy of all the doctors, nurses, staff, and patients. For instance, if the hospital has a maximum occupancy requirement for an operating room, redactX data can be used to count the number of people in the room over time so that compliance to that requirement can be demonstrated quantitatively. If the requirement is that all people wear face masks at all times, the redactX generated data supports demonstrating compliance to that. If the requirement is that a particular type of equipment be in the operating room any time a specific operation is carried out, the redactX generated data can be used to support demonstrating compliance in that situation.

There are a large number of use cases that redactX can support. Please contact us to get more information.
